9.10.07 - Good Living, Sydney Morning Herald
"This central Victorian shiraz is more the chocolate, vanilla, mocha style than spicy or peppery. A lick
of mint, too. Sweet fruited and fleshy, it's instantly likeable and delicious to drink, just treading on
the right side of jamminess. It's not complex or profound but very rewarding". Now to 15 years. 92/100.

"There would be no wine without the sun - hence the sundial image. We may make wine and measure time
slightly differently in the 21st century, but the principles remain the same. This central Victorian
shiraz ripples with gorgeous dark berry fruits. With hints of earth and chocolate, it's also
finely textured and savoury."

2004: "Naturally, in very similar style to the 2005 but with a little more focus and length; stylish
and age-worthy". Rating 94 Outstanding.
2005: "An elegant, medium bodied, lively array of red and black fruits, with fine tannins supporting
the long finish; oak sotto voce". Rating 93 Highly Recommended.

"The 2004 Shiraz Trust (96% Shiraz and 4% Viognier) exhibits a floral, sexy, exotic bouquet displaying loads of black fruits intermixed with a spring flower garden character. Rich, full-bodied, and intense, it should be consumed over the next 7-10 years. This cuvee possesses a striking minerality as well as floral, black fruit-scented bouquets, and big, structured, intense palates." Robert Parker | 91 Points

2004 Trust Shiraz, Central Victoria, A$37
"From Mitchelton ex-chief winemaker Don Lewis, the 2004 Trust Shiraz is smooth, supple and sexy in texture, and very spicy in flavour with some ginger and green tea notes. Smooth tannins and balanced alcohol." 4 stars
