James Hallidays : Australian Wine Companion 2015
2014 Trust Crystal Hill …..”hedonistic aroma and flavour, ginger, melon, honeysuckle, nectarine and assorted other fireworks. Crackle of quartz to the finish. Excellent intensity. Holds nothing back. 92 points”
2012 Trust Shiraz ….”Glowing purple; fleshy plum, clove and mint flavours build a strong case for both quality and drinkability. Chewy tannin gives it a lipsmacking where is the pizza quality. Convincing from go to whoa.”92 points

Adelaide Advertiser 22 November 2014 – Crystal Hill White Blend Review
Again we see the European style of blending compatible varieties – here Gwertztraminer with Savagnin, Riesling and Viognier but not from the same spot. The musk and rose of the first offers a delightfully fragrant temptation measured with a citrus under carriage. Very likeable, and fulfilling in the finish.
Heathcote Food & Wine Festival 4th&5th October
It was a rare opportunity to show our Trust shiraz at Heathcote this year. The 2011 Trust shiraz (100% Heathcote fruit) looked bright fresh and elegant alongside the other wines on show. For those interested in this wine it is now available alongside our current release, 2010 Trust Shiraz.
2014 Crystal Hill White Blend
We have recently bottled our first vintage of this beautiful textual wine. Not one single variety but a blend of 4 different varieties each of which brings its own individual characteristic to the wine.
2003 The Don
We will also be making available through the Trust website small quantities of Don’s very special single barrel blend of shiraz. Made entirely from his own Crystal Hill vineyard, on the banks of the Goulburn River.
Both wines are now available through this website.

2010 Trust Shiraz
Coming from vineyards in Heathcote (52%) and the Goulburn Valley (48%), Trust’s 2010 Shiraz is deep garnet-purple in colour with fragrant aromas of ripe black cherries, black raspberries and mulberries over hints of violets, prunes and cinnamon stick. medium to full bodied, the palate is richly fruited with red berry preserve and baking spice flavours marked by a medium level of rounded tannins and crisp acidity, finishing long. Drink it now to 2016+. Score 90 Lisa Perotti-Brown MW erobertparker.com
Delicious Wine Picks and Pairings
2010 Trust Shiraz 4.4/5.0
This full-bodied Australian red wine is made from grapes grown in the regions of Heathcote (52%) and Goulburn Valley (48%). Classic full-throttle Shiraz with black fruit, toasty oak. Natalie MacLean 7/6/14
Canberra Times Trust 2010 Review
Don Lewis and Narelle King, the winemakers behind Victoria’s Tar and Roses label, made their first Trust shiraz in 2004. King writes, “The fruit is mostly from Don’s vineyard, Crystal Hill, a hungry bit of dirt riddled with ironstone and quartz across the river from Tahbilk. It’s very low yielding and produces pretty special wine.” Certainly it did in 2010 a rich but medium-bodied red with deep, earthy savoury flavours, sympathetically cut with oak flavours and with a load of chewy but soft tannins providing the satisfying structure and finish.

It’s like a drink down memory lane. Comfortable well modulated and most satisfying. Tony Love
Border Mail 2006 Trust Shiraz
Jules won’t serve this when Kev comes and ditto Tony with Malcolm, however you might take it to dinner when you’ve been in the bad books and make sure you drink it all.
James Halliday 2007
2004: “Naturally, in very similar style to the 2005 but with a little more focus and length; stylish and age-worthy”.
Rating 94 Outstanding.
2005: “An elegant, medium bodied, lively array of red and black fruits, with fine tannins supporting the long finish; oak sotto voce”.
Rating 93 Highly Recommended.
Good Living, Sydney Morning Herald
“This central Victorian shiraz is more the chocolate, vanilla, mocha style than spicy or peppery. A lick of mint, too. Sweet fruited and fleshy, it’s instantly likeable and delicious to drink, just treading on the right side of jamminess. It’s not complex or profound but very rewarding”.
Now to 15 years. 92/100.

Qantas Inflight Magazine
“There would be no wine without the sun – hence the sundial image. We may make wine and measure time slightly differently in the 21st century, but the principles remain the same. This central Victorian shiraz ripples with gorgeous dark berry fruits. With hints of earth and chocolate, it’s also finely textured and savoury.”
